Why Use a Specialist
Planning a Wedding in Italy is Different
Italy's wedding industry operates in its own rhythm. Venues are privately owned estates, centuries-old monasteries, and family-run masserie — each with unique rules, seasonal constraints, and supplier relationships built over generations. Navigating this landscape from abroad, in a language you may not speak, against suppliers who receive hundreds of enquiries a year, is genuinely hard.
Our team lives and breathes Italian weddings. We have visited the venues, met the owners, and know exactly which suppliers — florists, photographers, musicians, caterers — are trusted partners at each property. When you work with us, you're not starting from scratch. You're getting years of on-the-ground expertise from day one.
Whether you need help finding the right venue, building a full supplier team, or simply want someone fluent in Italian to manage venue negotiations on your behalf, our planning services are built to meet you wherever you are in the process.

Where We Work
Planning Weddings Across Italy
Our planning network spans the length of Italy. From the flower-draped terraces of Lake Como to the sun-bleached masserie of Puglia, the rolling hills of Tuscany to the dramatic cliffs of the Amalfi Coast — we know each region intimately.
Each Italian region has its own personality, seasonal weather pattern, average venue cost, and supplier ecosystem. Understanding these differences is critical when choosing where to marry. We help you match your vision to the region that will deliver it best — and then connect you with the right venues within that region.
We also cover Sicily, Umbria, Venice, and Rome — each a unique backdrop for a destination wedding, each requiring a different kind of local expertise.
The Role We Play
What an Italian Wedding Planner Actually Does
Hiring a destination wedding specialist in Italy is not simply about reducing stress — although it does that too. It's about accessing relationships, knowledge, and systems that money alone cannot buy.
Fluent Venue Negotiations
We speak Italian and we know the norms. We negotiate on your behalf — on price, on exclusivity, on what's included — and we understand what can be flexed and what cannot.
Contract Review & Legal Guidance
Italian venue contracts can be complex. We review every agreement, explain obligations, and flag any unusual clauses before you sign anything.
Trusted Supplier Network
The best Italian wedding photographers, florists, caterers, and musicians are booked 18 months in advance. Our relationships mean you get access — and a genuine referral, not a cold introduction.
Italian Legal & Administrative Requirements
Getting legally married in Italy as a foreign national involves paperwork, apostilles, and local municipality requirements. We guide you through every step so nothing is missed.
Budget Management
Italian wedding costs have many moving parts. We track every expense against your budget, flag creep early, and identify where to invest versus where to save without compromising quality.
Guest Logistics & Travel
Coordinating flights, hotels, transfers, and group dinners for 100+ international guests across multiple days requires military precision. We manage every touchpoint.
Common Questions
Planning Services FAQ
How much do your planning services cost?
Our venue search and matchmaking service is free to couples — we are compensated by the venues we work with, so there's no cost to you for the initial search and shortlisting. Full planning and day-of coordination services are priced based on scope; we'll provide a clear, itemised proposal after your initial consultation with no obligation to proceed.
Do I need to hire a wedding planner for Italy?
Technically, no. But most couples who try to plan a destination wedding in Italy without local support find the process significantly more stressful than anticipated. Language barriers, time zone differences, unfamiliar supplier norms, and Italian legal requirements all add up. Even partial support — such as a bespoke venue shortlist and initial negotiations — can save you weeks of research and prevent costly mistakes.
How early should I start planning my Italian wedding?
We recommend starting at least 18 months before your wedding date, especially for peak season dates (May–September). The most sought-after venues — exclusive-use estates in Tuscany, lakeside villas on Como, cliff-top terraces on the Amalfi Coast — can book out two years in advance. The earlier you begin, the more choice you'll have.
Can you help with a legal ceremony in Italy?
Yes. We provide guidance on the civil and symbolic ceremony options available to non-Italian couples, including which documents are required (such as apostilled birth certificates and certificates of no impediment), how to work with local municipalities, and how to choose a registered officiant. For legally binding ceremonies, we work with trusted local legal specialists.
Do you work with specific venues only, or can you source any venue?
Our curated directory showcases over 40 venues we know and trust personally. However, if you have a specific venue in mind that isn't in our directory, we can absolutely work with it — we'll assess it through our usual criteria and advise honestly on its suitability for your vision.
What happens if something goes wrong on the day?
It's rare, but we plan for it. Our coordinators carry comprehensive contingency plans for every scenario — weather changes, supplier delays, ceremony timing shifts — and our relationships with local backup suppliers mean we can solve problems faster than anyone else on the ground. You won't hear about most of them; they'll be resolved before they reach you.
We're based outside the UK — can you still help us?
Absolutely. The majority of our couples are based in the UK, US, Australia, and across Europe. We work remotely with ease and are experienced in coordinating across multiple time zones. All key milestones can be managed via video call, email, and WhatsApp.
