Castello Dal Pozzo is of medieval origin, first documented in the early 13th century as a castle associated with a branch of the Visconti family.
A Visconti fortress existed on the site by around the 13th century, serving as a noble residence before being transformed in the 19th century by Marquess Claudio Dal Pozzo in a romantic neo-Gothic Tudor style.
This ambitious reconstruction included the main villa, chapel and towers, creating the fairy-tale silhouette that defines the property today.
The complex remained linked to the Dal Pozzo family through generations before evolving into the hospitality property it is today.
