Mauro Donini

Mauro Donini is a professional saxophonist who plays one part of the day and plays it properly: the welcome cocktail, the hour after the ceremony when the tension goes and the room starts talking. He works alone over high-quality backing tracks, and the set is chosen for the mood rather than pulled from a list — chillout and sunset lounge, deep house, modern pop and jazz covers, Italian hits. In his own words, the sax is the detail everyone remembers, even if they never quite notice it.

He plays around two hours, either as two forty-five-minute sets or as one continuous flow, and builds in twenty minutes of grace time at no charge — catering runs late, photographs overrun, and the aperitivo moves. The sound system is his own: a fully independent rig for the cocktail area with a wireless microphone, so nothing extra needs hiring for that part of the day. He will learn two songs of your choosing, and he speaks fluent English.
