Best Tuscany Wedding Venues 2027: 25 Villas, Castles and Borghi Chosen from 125 Listed, with Capacities and From-Prices
The 25 Tuscany wedding venues we would start with for 2027, chosen from the 125 we list: every type, each with its capacity, its beds and its own from-price.
Cover: Villa Il Poggiolino, Lucignano, from the air: the villa, its cypress avenue and the pool in seven hectares of park.
We list 125 wedding venues in Tuscany, more than four times as many as in any other region, and Tuscany is where most couples start: 576 of the 1,432 couples who wrote to us in the past year asked about it. These are the 25 we would put in front of a couple on day one. Every type is here, villa, castle, borgo, farmhouse, wine estate and hotel, and every entry carries its town, its capacity, its beds where the venue has told us, and its own from-price.
What Tuscany looks like in our records
Between November 2025 and October 2026, 1,432 couples sent us 3,019 enquiries, 1,127 of them in October 2026 alone. Tuscany led every other region by a long way. 576 couples asked about it, more than Lake Como, Puglia and Sicily put together.

On the supply side, the 125 Tuscan venues break down, by the names they trade under, into 41 villas, 20 borghi, 19 castles, 11 tenute, ten fattorie, agriturismi and farmhouses, and seven relais and resorts, with 17 that fit no single label (each venue counted once). 122 of them can be taken on exclusive use. 63 hold a published from-price, and those 63 spread widely:

How we chose the 25
We started from all 125. Every venue on the list had to hold a capacity and its own from-price, and we preferred the 31 Tuscan venues that carry our Verified mark, because their figures come from their own documents. Verified venues answer instantly from their own facts, with their documents on your page. Then we made sure every type is represented, and grouped the list that way: eight villas, three castles, five borghi, three farmhouses, four wine estates and two hotels. 23 of the 25 are Verified. Villa Il Poggiolino opens the list; the order after it is ours.
Tuscany has more good venues than any list can hold. Our type guides, linked in each section below, go deeper, and every Verified Tuscan venue is a filter away.
How to choose: guest count, budget and month
Start with your guest count
The median couple who wrote to us planned for 50 guests. A quarter planned for fewer than 30, a quarter for more than 80, and only 1.4% for 150 or more. Tuscan venues are built bigger than that: the median maximum across our 125 is 120 guests, 43 take 150 or more, and only 14 top out at 50 or fewer.
So the question for most couples is whether a venue works at your size. Some price the whole property whatever you fill, and some set a minimum for food and drink: Terre di Nano's is 50 people. Under 30, look at elopement and day packages; Villa Montanare's elopement for the couple alone is €4,000. From 30 to 80, almost everything below works. At 150 and more, look at Borgo Bucciano, Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte, Villa Pazzi al Parugiano, Villa La Palagina and Tenuta di Artimino, and our guide to Tuscan venues for 150 to 300 guests.
Then check the beds. 46 of our 125 Tuscan venues hold a figure for how many guests sleep on site, and 18 sleep 50 or more; our guide to Tuscany venues with accommodation is built on that number.
Then your budget band
2,175 couples told us their budget for the whole wedding. 39% were under €30,000, 34% between €30,000 and €50,000, 14% between €50,000 and €75,000, 7% between €75,000 and €100,000, 4% between €100,000 and €150,000, and 2% above that. Against that, 37 of the 63 priced Tuscan venues start under €20,000, which leaves room for the rest of the wedding inside the budgets most couples gave us.
The rest is mostly food: published menus centre on about €150 a head, as our catering cost guide shows. And a buy-out with beds, such as Villa Il Poggiolino's three nights for €15,300, carries a cost that a day hire leaves to your guests. Compare like with like, then see the whole wedding in our Tuscany cost guide, the budget calculator or venues by budget.
Then your month
Of the wedding dates couples gave us for 2027, 42% fall in September, followed by October, June, May and August. And the calendar is filling further out than most couples expect: 1,050 enquiries already carry a 2028 date, against 1,257 for 2027. A Saturday in September 2027 is the most contested date in Tuscany.
Moving away from it widens the choice, and at several venues lowers the rate. Borgo Bucciano takes 5% off from October to April, Fattoria di Corniola 10% from November to April, and Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte, Villa Pazzi al Parugiano and Tenuta di Artimino all price early-week days below the weekend. Some venues keep a season: Castello di Celsa hosts from 20 April to 5 November. Our guide to the best time of year to marry in Italy covers the weather, and the planning timeline what to book when.
Villas
Villas are Tuscany's largest category, 41 of our 125 by name, and the widest in what they offer: from frescoed Medici houses hired by the day to family homes taken for three nights with the guests asleep upstairs. Our ten best villa wedding venues in Tuscany goes further into the grand end; these eight cover the range.
1. Villa Il Poggiolino: one wedding at a time in the Valdichiana
Lucignano · Up to 80 guests · Sleeps 20, and 10 more 3 km away · From €15,300, three-night buy-out
Villa Il Poggiolino is an eighteenth-century residence in seven hectares of private parkland between Arezzo, Cortona and Montepulciano, reached by a cypress avenue through a park planted over centuries. Twenty guests sleep in the villa, the couple in the bridal suite, ten more at the family's sister house five minutes away, and the grounds hold 80 for a wedding outdoors and 50 inside the house. The family's sample weekend runs pizza al fresco on the first evening, an afternoon ceremony and dinner in the olive grove on the second, yoga and a farewell brunch on the third; ceremonies are symbolic, and fireworks are allowed. The price covers the three nights, the wedding fee and cleaning, VAT included.
2. Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte: Medici frescoes seven kilometres from Florence
Impruneta · Up to 300 guests · No beds on site · From €7,000 + VAT, the day
Lorenzo the Magnificent bought Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte in 1480, Prince Giovan Carlo de' Medici had its nine salons frescoed in the 1630s, and the Corsini family have owned it since 1644, which makes it one of the last Medici residences still in private hands. The frescoed Gallery seats 200, the glass-fronted Limonaia 180 and the gardens 300. Partner hotels are within eight kilometres, and the from-price is a day for up to 150 guests, Monday to Thursday in April or December.

Villa di Geggiano has been home to the Bianchi Bandinelli family since 1527, six kilometres north-east of Siena among the vineyards of Chianti Classico, and was remade in 1786 to mark a marriage between two Sienese families; the French wallpapers, Toile de Jouy fabrics and furniture are still the ones chosen then. It is licensed for civil ceremonies.

Castelnuovo Berardenga · Up to 120 guests · From €19,100, the whole property for three nights (2028)

Montemurlo · Up to 250 guests · From €7,600, the day, Monday to Wednesday

Questions couples ask
How many wedding venues are there in Tuscany?
We list 125 Tuscan wedding venues. By the names they trade under, 41 are villas, 20 borghi, 19 castles, 11 tenute, ten fattorie, agriturismi and farmhouses, and seven relais and resorts, counting each venue once; the other 17 fit no single label. 122 of the 125 can be taken on exclusive use, and 31 carry our Verified mark.
How much does a wedding venue in Tuscany cost?
Of the 125 Tuscan venues we list, 63 hold a published from-price. A quarter start at €8,000 or less, half at €16,390 or less and three quarters at €25,500 or less. The figure buys different things: a day's hire at one venue, three nights with beds at another. Compare what each price includes before you compare the numbers; catering, planning, flowers and music sit on top.
How many guests can a Tuscan wedding venue hold?
The median maximum among our 125 Tuscan venues is 120 guests, 43 take 150 or more and Tenuta di Artimino takes 500, while only 14 top out at 50 or fewer. The median couple who wrote to us planned for 50, so for a small wedding ask what a venue charges for at minimum, not what it holds at most.
What is the most popular month for a Tuscany wedding?
September, by a distance: 42% of the 2027 dates couples gave us, followed by October, June, May and August. 1,050 enquiries already carry a 2028 date, against 1,257 for 2027. June, early October and weekdays widen the choice and, at several venues, lower the rate.
Can our guests stay at the venue?
Often, yes. Of the 125 Tuscan venues we list, 46 hold a figure for how many guests sleep on site, and 18 sleep 50 or more: Tenuta di Artimino sleeps 300, Villa La Palagina 146 and Borgo Castelvecchi 100. Others, such as Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte, are day venues with partner hotels nearby.
Can we have a legal ceremony at a Tuscan villa?
It depends on the venue. Villa di Geggiano is licensed for civil ceremonies, Castello di Fighine has a church on the estate, and Villa Il Poggiolino holds symbolic ceremonies only, so the legal marriage is registered separately. Ask which applies before you plan the day around a garden or chapel.
What does Verified mean on a Tuscan venue?
Verified venues answer instantly from their own facts, with their documents on your page. In Tuscany, 31 of the 125 venues we list carry the mark, and 23 of the 25 in this guide do.
How do we get real prices for our date?
Tell us the venues you are considering, from this list or any of the 125, with your guest count and month, and we ask each venue for its prices and availability on your behalf. It is free, and we come back within 48 hours.
