The Best Wedding Venues in Italy for 2027: 30 Villas, Castles and Estates with Capacities and From-Prices

Thirty of the best wedding venues in Italy for 2027, chosen from the 290 we list: capacities, beds and from-prices, set against what 1,432 couples asked us for this year.

By Italian Venues
17 min read

We list 290 wedding venues across 20 regions of Italy, every one with its capacity and 154 with a from-price. Between November 2025 and October 2026, 1,432 couples sent us 3,019 enquiries about them, 1,127 in October alone. This guide puts the two together: thirty villas, castles and estates, chosen in proportion to where couples are asking, each with the numbers that decide a booking.

What couples asked us for this year

Tuscany leads by a distance. 576 couples asked about Tuscany, more than Lake Como (209), Puglia (187) and Sicily (164) together, with Rome (152), Umbria (134) and the Amalfi Coast (125) next. The inventory runs the same way: 125 of our 290 venues are Tuscan.

The typical wedding is 50 guests. Of the 2,571 couples who gave us a number, a quarter expect fewer than 30 and a quarter more than 80; only 1.4% expect 150 or more. Yet the median venue we list holds 130. For most couples a venue's maximum is a ceiling comfortably above them, and the numbers that decide are its minimum, what its from-price includes, and how many guests it can put to bed.

Most budgets are under €50,000. Of the 2,175 couples who stated a budget for the whole wedding, 39% are under €30,000 and 34% between €30,000 and €50,000; 14% sit between €50,000 and €75,000, 7% between €75,000 and €100,000, 4% between €100,000 and €150,000 and 2% above.

September is the month. Of the 1,257 enquiries dated 2027, 532, or 42%, are for September. And 1,050 are already dated 2028.

How we chose the thirty

We gave each region a share of the list in proportion to the couples asking about it: ten in Tuscany, four on Lake Como, four in Puglia, three in Sicily, two around Rome, three in Umbria, three on the Amalfi Coast, and one from the smaller regions, which went to Lake Maggiore. Within each region we preferred venues with a from-price and the Verified mark, then chose for range of size. Twenty-nine of the thirty state a from-price and 28 are Verified; capacities run from 50 to 1,000 and from-prices from €5,000 to €40,000.

Within a region the order is not a ranking. Every figure is the venue's own, and each from-price carries the unit the venue sells, a day, two midweek nights, a three-night buy-out, with catering almost always on top. Our guide to how Italian venues price explains the units; where a venue states no price, we ask it for you.

Tuscany: ten venues

Of Tuscany's 125 venues, 63 state a from-price; the middle half runs from €8,000 to €25,500, with a median of €16,390. See the Tuscany hub or every Tuscan venue.

How to choose: by guest count

Fix the number first; our guest count guide shows how. The directory takes it directly: venues for 50 guests is the typical search.

Under 30, a quarter of couples. The issue is minimums, not space: many estates price for a set number of covers or the whole house. Look for venues built small; 30 of our 290 take 60 or fewer, and here Villa Montanare and Tenuta 4 Pini fit. See our small-wedding guide and elopement guide.

30 to 80, the middle half. Italy's sweet spot, and where beds matter most, because a party this size can sleep almost entirely on an estate: Villa Il Poggiolino, Borgo Castello Panicaglia, Casali di Colle San Paolo, Relais Villa Vittoria. Of the 79 venues that give a sleeps figure, the median is 40; see venues where guests stay on site.

80 to 150, a quarter of couples. Most of the list takes this comfortably. Ask each venue for its covered capacity if it rains; our 100-guest guide covers the plan B.

150 and over, 1.4% of couples. The rarest request and the best served: 134 of our venues take 150 or more, and 78 take 200. Here: Villa La Palagina, Borgo Bucciano, Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte, Masseria Don Luigi, Giardini del Fuenti, Palazzo Brancaccio, Villa Tasca. Filter for 200 guests and over.

How to choose: by budget

Seventy-three per cent of couples who stated a budget plan to spend under €50,000 on the whole wedding. The venue is one line, and catering is usually its equal: published menus in our catering guide centre on €150 a head.

Quartiles of the from-prices in our venue files, October 2026, for regions with six or more priced venues. Across all 154 priced venues the median is €11,000. Each is the venue's entry price for its own unit; for venues that state none, we ask.

Under €30,000, 39% of couples. Look where the venue line leaves room: Puglia and Sicily, midweek and shoulder-season rates, and venues whose price includes the beds. Our €40,000 budget guide shows a whole wedding near that level.

€30,000 to €75,000, 48%. Almost all of Italy opens up, including Tuscany's middle market and the three-night estate buy-outs; see venues under €50,000 and the Tuscany cost guide.

Above €75,000, 13%. The coast and the great lakefront villas come into reach, and the rooms, boats and dinners around the venue decide the total. Model it in the budget calculator, or set a ceiling in the directory: under €30,000 or under €50,000.

When couples want to marry in 2027

Month Enquiries Share of 2027
September53242%
October16413%
June15512%
May12210%
August1129%
July816%
April464%
1,257 enquiries dated 2027, as at October 2026; the other months share the remaining 45. A further 1,050 are already dated 2028.

September is contested. More couples want it than October, June and May combined, and most venues take one wedding at a time. If it must be September, write now and consider a Thursday or Friday; the directory filters by date, as in September 2027.

October and June are the alternatives, with most of September's weather and far less competition; several from-prices above are shoulder-season rates. Our guide to the best time of year to marry in Italy compares the months.

2028 is already moving. A good share of couples write two years out. Our availability guide explains how calendars fill, and booking for 2027 sets the order to lock things in.

What Verified means

Twenty-eight of the thirty venues here carry the Verified mark, and 71 of the 290 in the directory. Verified venues answer instantly from their own facts, with their documents on your page.

The mark goes on a venue that has confirmed its own prices for the current season, with the unit and any minimums, and whose facts we have built into a pack from its own documents and emails. Payment never sets it. On your enquiry page you see its confirmed prices, and its brochure or price list where it has sent one, can ask any question and get an answer straight away, and can go to the venue directly for a date, a call or a visit.

The packs also show, in aggregate, what venues expect. Of the 71, 47 state a minimum stay, three nights most often and two next. Music curfews cluster at midnight, then 2am and 1am; our music guide covers the end of the night. Open the directory's Verified view to see only these venues.
